SK hynix Wuxi Foreign Language School in Wuxi's Xinwu district announced the launch of its middle school division on June 27, marking a strategic upgrade from a primary school to a nine-year integrated education system.
The school will welcome its first two middle school classes in September 2026, each with no more than 30 students.
Established in 2021 through a collaboration between SK hynix (Wuxi) Education Services Development and Shanghai World Foreign Language Education Group, the SK hynix Wuxi Foreign Language School follows a unique 5+2+2 model — five years of primary education, two years of transition, and two years of junior high.
The school's academic system features tiered instruction in core subjects such as mathematics, English, and physics, divided into foundational, advanced, and elite levels, with student placement adjusted each semester. A STEM learning center will promote interdisciplinary, project-based learning by breaking down traditional subject boundaries.
Guo Jian, deputy director of the Wuxi National Hi-tech District Education Bureau, praised the school's innovative curriculum for aligning with students' developmental needs and supporting personalized education. He noted that the school's tailored approach offers a valuable model for future-oriented education in the district.
