Wuxi National Hi-Tech District, or Wuxi New District, recently experienced a major developmental milestone, being designated as a "Jiangsu Provincial Foreign-Invested Headquarters Cluster".

The district is home to over 1,800 foreign-invested enterprises from 57 countries and regions, including 128 projects from 68 Fortune Global 500 companies. Major players like AstraZeneca, Caterpillar, Ariston, and Bridgestone have established headquarters and institutions that continue to thrive. By the end of November 2024, the total utilized foreign investment in the district exceeded $26.7 billion.

This year, WND's foreign-invested headquarters economy has seen remarkable growth. Highlights include Bridgestone's China Corporate Management Center, which integrates financial management for the company's operations in China. Bridgestone has also launched its new energy vehicle tire project in the district.

Other significant developments include Germany's Vibracoustic establishing its first local production line for automotive air springs, with a total investment of $475 million; AstraZeneca signing a collaboration agreement on a small-molecule innovative drug manufacturing facility; Bosch launching its commercial vehicle business China headquarters; GE Healthcare setting up its ultrasound Greater China headquarters; and Atlas Copco investing an additional 300 million yuan ($41.28 million) to expand its factory and establish a spare parts trading headquarters.
