Wuxi New District has one 500-kilovolt converting station, as well as fourteen 220 kilovolt models (5 under construction) and fifty with 110 kilovolts (23 under construction). The whole district is supplied by double circuit power.

The Internet in Wuxi has an exit bandwidth of 250 GBPS, and the total bandwidth of backbone networks is more than 500G. The speed gap of the metropolitan area network (MAN) among different operators is less than 50 milliseconds. Wuxi Telecom, as the core node of the China Telecom's Chinanet and an exit node in Jiangsu, has an exit node to Chinanet and CN2, the total bandwidth of which is 220G. As an important hub of communications in Jiangsu, Wuxi is also a node on both Level I and II trunk lines in China Telecom's transmission network. The International Date Center here provides global private direct-line service, and can support long-distance mpls-vpn. The Level I trunk lines from Beijing, Shanghai, and northern coastal regions go through the city.
